So who are the GGF?
The GGF represents over 60% of the home improvement industry and was established to ensure that high standards are maintained in the glazing industry. They are dedicated to protecting homeowners against dishonest traders and restoring the consumer’s trust in the industry. Their opinion is regularly sought by Government on building regulations and issues affecting consumers and one of their key subsidiaries is FENSA, the double glazing protection scheme for homeowners.
Everything from the initial sale, through to installation, aftercare and dispute resolution are covered by the GGF. This Government recognised scheme works to ensure that consumers only receive quality service and products and that honest reliable traders are not damaged by the ruthless tactics of unscrupulous companies.

- All companies that are members of the GGF have been trading for at least three years and their employees, premises and products are all inspected. Regular audits are carried out to ensure that the correct standards and procedures are being adhered to
- Your deposit is protected by the GGF’s Indemnity scheme (up to £12,500 or 50%, whichever is lower)
- All members comply with Building Regulations and follow the Code of Good Practice
- The GGF provides a Customer Charter which advises consumers on what to buy, where to buy it and any other customer care issues
